I think this little one is going to be a cockerel. Looking for other opinions. he/she is a Buff Orpington (mom) x Dominique (dad)

Slow feather growth, and he/she stands up a little more erect.

I had one of my chicks that always stood up straighter than the others. That chick turned out to be a pullet like the others, she just had more of the skittish/stay alert personality going on. I can't tell by the feathering, I think it's too early to tell.

Way too early to tell. Posture of a chick says nothing about gender.
