i have a temp reader and i put it where ever the eggs sit in the incubator-still air bator- and almost the whole time the temp was at 99.0 and i keep moving the eggs and the temp reader to try and find the best heated spot and i finally found it at 102.0 but the whole time it has been at 99.0 and 100.0 is this ok

Isn't suggested only about 100? I think 99 is ok 102 might be to warm. I really don't knowing suggests 100 but it is forced air. maybe you could increase your temp .5 or 1° and keep the eggs in the 99 spots and check it again?

OK so I'm in lock down and hatch day, the 21st day is tomorrow approximately 8:30 pm. 2 of my own Bantam Wyandottes are showing pip holes starting. I have hatched 2 batches of leg horn/ red sex-link chickens last year. I have never seen early starters. Anyone ever seen bantams or otherwise start early on day 20?
Just answered my own question from the articles section on BYC

"My Eggs are Hatching Early!

Again, are you sure you have the hatch date calculated correctly? Was your temperature a little too high? High temperatures will cause eggs to hatch early. Or, are you incubating a small bantam breed? Bantams often hatch early, and that is totally normal." :wee
