That's the same incubator I have. It's was a bit fiddly to dial in but still a good buy.

Personally I'd remove the eggs, turner and wipe out the bottom. Run dry as long as you can. The air cells grow quickly so you should be alright.

When I have to remove the top I set it on the ground in the same orientation it's usually in. This keeps the warm air in it and it stabilizes faster. Don't tip it up and lean it on its side somewhere. Hope this help. Can't wait to see your hatch.

That's the same way i remove the lid most of the time, but I've been tipping to help release the humidity. It heats back up quickly. Today was a little warmer and I realized owning the too vents might help so we did that and the humidity is not at 31%. I'm going to try to keep it about the these last few days becuase the 2 bantam eggs made thier growth already and i don't want to expand then to much.

On Friday I will be setting some Guinea eggs from my Lavender hen I hope they hatch it takes 28 days. Does anyone else hatch Guinea fowl?

So i have only actually collected 1 egg for sure. I have 3 in the fridge that might be but i have a chicken that lays a very simialar shape and i think the guineas are already hiding their nest.

But yes I did try it. It is different but not so different that i can describe it. I had a guinea and chicken egg fried side by side so i could compair both. The guinea tasted fuller but had a rubbery texture, fyi the whites in a guinea egg are an almost scary glossy crystal clear even on a pre-heated pan and takes longer to cook. But over all the flavor wasnt that different.

I haven't tried one yet my Guinea lays every other day, they don't free range yet. I only have 4 eggs and want to save them to hatch.

Anyways so I'm what 7 days from hatch? What do i do if the air cells are to small? Do i need to watch for internal pips and then make an external for them to make sure they have enough air? Can i wait till the first external pip before increasing to hatch humidity? Do i need to just cross my fingers and wait?

I think I would candle before you lock down and make the call then

YES!!!!! VERY LOUD My Guineas have their own coop for now I would like to get some Light Brahma chickens to put in with them. Some people keep them with their chickens some don't.

I didn't plan on my living with the chickens, I just didn't get their own coop built before they moved in. But my rooster tends to be very fatherly and up untill this past week or so the guineas followed him everywhere. Once they decided to move into the coop I just let it be. But they are the bullies of the coop, pulling tail feathers and chasing for fun...
