Thanks I’m trying to wait it’s just so hard hopefully she pips soon I will keep y’all up dated

I agree! I think the last couple days are the hardest! Of the chicks I just hatched, the last little guy was a full day later than everyone else. I was so worried! But he is doing great now

yes this is the hardest part i am so worried about my bantam egg but maybe tomorrow i will wake up to a chick i will candle and do the water test tomorrow day 22 thanks for your help i will keep you up dated

Princess fluffy butt came out of the incubator with this on her butt and I tried to pull it off but it is attached to a vein that does in to her skin what do I do. Do I just leave it

So tomorrow when I do the water test and candle my bantam egg if I do need to do the safety hole how do I do it

It might just be umbilical cord. If it is then you should leave it alone and it will eventually fall away on its own.

Yeah that's the umbilical it didn't detach properly. You can put an antibiotic ointment around the navel to prevent infection but for the most part it looks dry it's just stuck it will come off with time.
