May Hatch-a-Long!

It was out just over an hour. The thermometer said 8! I bought a new incubator yesterday morning that has a digital thermometer, it heats up faster. So when the electric came on I just moved the whole egg turner to that new incubator. I put them on lock down this morning. All still moving!!!! I am worried I've had the humidity too high this whole time though. There's no fixing that now. So time will tell. I saw one egg the chick internally pipped!

So what happens if the humidity has been too high?

No doubt. She had one of hers under her and I have 3 of hers under my other broody. I'm just not certain their fertile.
Hmm, how to say this...Have you seen any "activity"?
Most of mine don't care if I'm watching but my polish pair are shy and sneak around behind my back, lol.
What kind of roos might she have "dated"? Oops I mean mated.

The only roo at the time is a cuckoo silkie. We haven't seen anything between the two of them but we're not always watching lol

Over on the left are a few Welsummers, middle are Ameraucanas, and Buff Orphs on the right!

I need a second incubator though... I had so many others that I wanted to put in to hatch!

That sounds like a fun combination! I can't wait to see pics!
I wish I had more Welsummers. I bought 2 chicks on a spur of the moment very early spring. They were right next to the Gold Laced Wyanndottes I was picking up.Sadly one Welsummer didn't survive the sudden cold snap here. Once I researched more on the breed, I wished I had gotten more (but the feed store had already sold out).
All of the breeds you're hatching are beautiful. Don't skimp on the pics when they hatch!

What breeds are you hatching? My Welsummers are my favorites, though they've refused to live in the coop and instead live in our sheep barn! They nest in one of my show lamb stalls.

They're super laid back and clean up after our messy ewes!! I've got some beautiful ones! These I'm hatching are from my girls out there.

Have candled for my day 10 and am still in complete disbelief that 12 of 12 are looking good. I still worry with shipped eggs, but am pretty optimistic this time since I haven't been pitching eggs and grumbling or whining!
