We've hatched 9 out of 14 chickens, awaiting the pips to start on our Sebastopol. Giving the chickies one more day that'll put them on day 23 and the goose ggs will surprise us...lol
Not a very clear photo, but had to use the tablet to take it, too excited to go get the camera.
These are my Wheaten/Blue Wheaten hatching eggs I bought. Two more are obviously pipping. I knew when I heard the cheeping yesterday that someone was ready to come out.
Humidity may be an issue, but I did get that thin tubing to slide through the tiny vent in the top so I don't have to open it.
I am so excited! My first Wheatens.
I have 3 blrw hatches and in the brooder. 1 zipping and 1 pipped. 1 nothing to report yet. And 1 that possible died after the 1st 3 got done bowling and a big chunk of she'll fell off the towards the smaller end. Wrapped it in moist warm paper towel. Put it back, but no signs of life. Will wait a bit and try and keep that membrane from drying. I probably waited too long to investigate but didn't want to hurt the others.
