May Hatch Thread--Fill up those bators n' broodies!

I locked down my eggs on Tuesday today is day 20 almost all my eggs are peeping all of them are moving around and one has a small crack/hole in it. I am super excited I set 18 eggs 3 never grew but 15 have made it to today super excited its my first hatch and I am hoping it will go right :)

Yes El I went to sleep around 3 am. I do have 1 sex link pullet out though today. And still small pips and chirps and rockers. Might be a little rough for them considering. I wasn't even figuring on any after the fiascal yesterday. But heres 1 at least. Its gonna be a long day fr me I think. Or all of us anyway. Good thing I have some stuff to keep me busier. Not that its will help.

Just checked and I have 2 more zipping and even more pips. I gotta go pick on oldest boys GF in a few so will give em 30-45 mins of rest w/o checking on them. So far its SL and BA/Leghorn cross hatching can see. Hoping for a Cocchin cross or 2 but can't see my marks.

. Man more bunts ? U hear that jac ? I wish you all the luck in the world with them I have never hatched any thing polish but from what I know from friends that have they are like trying to hatch fine lead crystal ! How were the air cells did you mark them ? If you had a leaker it sounds like they had a bumpy ride !
does that mean i check the air sack now before incubating them

Yes
does that mean i check the air sack now before incubating them
especially important with shipped eggs you may have all kind of bad wonky air cells detached, sadled , hairline cracks u need to know before you set , if you have detached or floating cells you need to know if the resting has let them reattach and so on pm jnjmaning and ask her her procedure for shipped bunts she has the most experience than any here in the thread

. Lol after my Sussex snafu I don't think I will ever mark breed on another egg if and this is a big if ( but more than likely the case ) that darn oddball chick in my brooder turns out to be a Sussex I'm gonna feel like a real nooob after telling you guys I lost them all lol

Got another baby during the night last night. The egg that had pipped yesterday. So, the first chick was nearing the 24 hour mark, and those two little guys didn't even have room to stand up all of the way in the mini, so I turned on the shower to humidify the room to about 70% and popped open the incubator to take those two out. I have 3 eggs left in there that I did a quick candle on. One was peeping, so an internal pip, and lots of movement. The other two showed no movement. All were rocking and rolling until at least day 20 (today is 22), so I am still hoping they are fooling me.
How long is it typically from internal pip to external? This is killing me :)

wyandottes ? It can take over 24 hrs in some cases or 24 minutes they have a mind of there own if they pipped the shell and can get air let um work it out they are better at hatching than we are for sum reason
