Anyways, congrats to every one with chicks!
*Update*
My duck eggs are two weeks into the incubation. I candled them, and all seven were alive and VERY active. I'm getting anxious for them to hatch so I can see what they look like!
Not good news. I went to move cows, came back both chicks were dead. **** thats $240 down the drain!
.Day 18, in lockdown!!! Filled the water channels and placed 4 wet sponges in the bator. Keeping my fingers crossed for a Wednesday, May 22nd hatch!!
My sentiments exactly this has been a great hatch A longThank you for all the love and kinda words. Fells good to have such a great group of chicky friends.
. Well to some just shooting them might sound a little harsh but when WE you know the smart humans took away the only natural predator that kept there populations in check it is up to us the smart humans to act to balance out the lack of predation if we don't we have the problem of over population just sayingCoyote populations are booming around me and yes, they have been running in packs. They do especially in winter when it is cold and food is scarce. I prefer to mount them vs. just shoo them awaybut that might be because i am a taxidermist.
. Exactly. done of the cities near me have hired sharp shooters to thin out the populations. There is too many and many are carrying mange and distemper, all of which can be transferred to your house hold canines. Even reports of children getting attacked while walking home from school.
