May Hatch Thread--Fill up those bators n' broodies!

Now....back away from the Incubator......lol

I am, My only issue now is it is day 22 no peeps, no movement or anything all is quite on the bator front. Went out to check the girls lastnight, I did not gather the eggs yesterday like I normally do and when I went out I have a lady sitting. I'm so jazzed that I have a broody hen, everything was reading about Buff Ori was they tend not to be broody so I may have a good clutch from her.

Well the hydro's say 60% to 70% I have two so I will take the average, Both were cal'd before I used them the 4 temp's are 101 to 98.5 I will take the average of those too. LoL but Day 22 come on girls get out of those eggs. I know it is not my eggs since my friend got 42 from me and he hatched 38 with 3 dud's and 5 deaths after the 38 so he has 33 now. If these don't hatch I will know it is something I'm doing wrong. Tho I don't know what that is. since I have read Hatching Eggs 101 3 or 4 times. So I will just keep my

. The soon to be wife thinks this is unnatural to hatch my own eggs but I keep telling her everyone is doing it. Anyway still have not touch the bator except to look in through the windows. Still in lockdown and I know it can take up to 25 - 26 days.

Got two Ameraucana babies so far!!! Long night. Pipping started last evening, the fast zipping this morning. They are soo cute!! Should I take them out and put them in the brooder? They are still dragging their umbilical cords around!! 11 more to go - hopefully!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOO I am not ready....LOL I still havent gotten over this Tolbunt stress!!! And guess what arrives tomorrow? 12 more Tolbunt eggs!!! I have a friend with a 6' tall cabinet incubator. He is going to hatch my Bunts. I think he might get a much better hatch rate.!
But I am about to go candle my Sizzles for our 31st hatch. Havent looked at them in quite some time.
. Well the style of the bator is just that the theory is the same it's the control that makes the difference the cheaper styros are just cheap they do a decent job inside a controlled room but can not compensate for big swings in temp and humidity if the cabinate he Is useing has the correct digital control it will do a better job the new gqf genissess 1588 styro addressed the problem by using the same control in the styro hova that they use in the cabinet sportsman they sell it does a good job a equalizing outside / inside ambient temps.. I hope it does a better less stressful job for you lol I might want to hatch some of your bunts some day lol as for fidel,s eggs I have been so darn busy I have not even looked at them since we set them I know fertility is not a issue since Fidel is covering only two hens I know that's covered but I need to look after I clean the hatcher up I set 9 more for June on the 19 th and need to look at them to I'm gonna take a trip up north Sunday to buy 24 brahma eggs to set Monday or Tuesday I'm rambling again go check the sizz,es lol
