400

Here are my three long-awaited Cochins! A black and I think two splashes. :woot good luck to everyone hatching today!

Well EL I checked on my sizzles last night. I am down to 9 out of 24. And 4 of those have pretty wonky cells. Then got up this morning to 103 temp. WHY do these **** incubators do this???? I swear I am building a cabinet!
jac are you getting these eggs from the same breeder ? I swear back when we used to hatch shipped eggs in the states we had better numbers I Think it's been some years back but I swear your number of culls in the last month seems high

No this is a whole different breeder. I am going to a HUGE swap this weekend. You can bet I am bringing back some eggs! At least I know how they are being handled.
AND my Tolbunts that were due the 22nd still havent arrived! They left the final sorting facility at 4pm yesterday. This facility is only 1 hr 15 mins from my post office. Yet somehow they never made it for their 7am sort this morning!!! Now I have to wait for their last dump which is at 11am and see if they arrive then. Come on 15 hrs to travel 1 hr 15 mins away????
EL I swear its the USPS that are doing so much damage to these eggs making the hatch rate now 25% at BEST! That is without fertility issues thrown in there!

Jac , are you running these eggs in the 2200 ? If so is it a still air ? Addition of a fan will increase rates 30% in any bator you need to find a computer case fan and install it with small zip ties and power it with a 9v dc cell phone charger case fan can come out of a old desk top tower or you can buy one new for 8 bucks and I know u have a old phone charger laying around it's a ten min job u will see less spikes and a improved hatch rate

Got two Ameraucana babies so far!!! Long night. Pipping started last evening, the fast zipping this morning. They are soo cute!! Should I take them out and put them in the brooder? They are still dragging their umbilical cords around!! 11 more to go - hopefully!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO If you still have eggs to hatch DO NOT open that incubator. You risk shrink wrapping the ones yet to hatch!
