still waiting on my eggs... usps is taking their time this week.

I don't think they are still in Va...it says they scanned yesterday evening...sometimes the scan doesn't register right away...surely they were scanned and sent out this morning, wouldn't you think!!??

Go figure, my first time doing a swap, something goes wrong...

well, i had another package sent out the same day from idaho. it was delivered today. another from missouri delivered today...

so it was processed and departed atlanta, and processed in altantal again? but hasn't departed atlanta (again) that i can tell...

Yea...that doesn't make ANY sense???!! Why would they process it TWICE in the same city?? Has your mail run yet??

I do have question though with it being so hot out 90's here today should i let them sit or jus put them in incubator right away but without turner?... if anyone could help would appreciate it..

I think the majorty rule is that shipped eggs should sit small end down in egg cartons or such for at least 24 hours befor being put in the bator to help with the air cell that may ahve gotton waggled about in shipping.

i knew that but the eggs have been in the mail for 3 days and it being 90 here if they cooled down would it hurt them?

Last summer I put them right in the incubator. The important part is to have them with the big end up and not to turn them for up to 7 days, depending on how loose the air cells are.

At 90 I would set them in the turner with the turner off for a day or more. If they've gotten hot and have started to develop you don't want to kill them off waiting for them to settle. I do it whatever way I think I need to for the circumstances involved.

IF they have been that warm then yes you should put them in the bator sorry I didnt understand . If there is a chcance they have started you need to keep them warm. I guess put them up right in cartons in the bator and just dont turn then for a day or so .
