I'll get you more Iowa Blue eggs. Great news though on the RIR. I wish you could see my boys. They are huge and gentle. I heard horrow stories about RIR boys but these are not like the hatchery RIR. (Mine are from a show line. )

Itl be a little bit on the IB. Somebody left the door to their pen open when they put chicks under a broody and didn't find it until the next day. (Since I'm the only one that goes near the chickens, can you figure out who it was). They were where they belonged and the only intruder was an Icelandic hen. Don't ask me how she got out of her pen since there is wire on the 3 sides and a wall with a cover over the top. I'll hatch eggs from them and if they are not pure, they will be layers.

I ended up with 2 Black and 2 Blue Orps from Babymakes6 and 4 SFH from a side swap with ContrastPhoto (but I lost 2). I'm hoping for a pair.

Rustic, I might have 1 egg from you still going. It looked odd to me when I candled so I left it in the incubator. I candled tonight and I think it is still going.

I have two chicks this morning from Jessshan8's eggs! I was getting antsy last night (Day 20) and was tapping on the eggs and hoping to hear a chick cheeping back at me and only one of them did and it had a pip in it. I think it was the first to hatch and one that I was thinking was a goner hatched also! WooHoo!!!

Oh yeah, when I checked on the eggs yesterday afternoon the bator was up to 102! So very happy to have anything hatch!

My 3 blue swedish duck eggs... that was an extra perk from one of my swap pals.... are the only eggs I had to make it to lock down...
I can hear the babies peeping and one has a hole pecked in it. Hopefully I will have some little quackers by morning.

First time to hatch both, the seramas are so dang tiny and cute!!!

I am just sickened. My main incubator was up to 115 degrees. I couldn't figure out why 2 Guinea keets died while hatching. I'll give them a few days then candle. The main eggs I'm sick about:

I unplugged the dang thing and plugged it back in and it worked fine. UGH.

The top one is brown, they throw them occasionally. The bottom ones are blue. I've had good luck with shipped duck eggs, not so good with chicken eggs. Did any of them hatch?
