why do people have quail? are they used for something? or just for pets?

Why do people have chickens?

Same reasons more or less, and quail take up less space and eat less per bird than chickens, the males are also not as loud, and the meat as a little differnt taste that some people prefer over chicken. I personally like the taste of quail, I think alot of varieties are nice to look at and like to hear alot of their calls.

I keep quail because I think they're cute, love their vocalizations, love their small size & love that they are something different than chickens.
