One of mine apparently had a 'bator buddy, and when I inadvertently separated them, they both yelled their heads off until they were back together.
 
I've done that with orphaned puppies, but I never in a million years would have thought have that would work with chickens!!!!! I guess even I don't give them enough credit. Learn something new everyday.
