My maiden name Tiernan
Moms maiden name Smith
Grandmothers maiden name Karker all from Ireland Try tracing Smith back Could only go so far
DH side came from England and Germany He is related to Douglas McArthur hes a second cousin of his mothers
 
Im just gonna throw names out there if you know them you might know some of my family we are from everywhere!
Caley, Shaw, Bickel, Teusch, Lebou, Riecke, Satterthwaite, the list goes on and on

My mothers father is Cannon and he was from Kentucky
My mothers mother maiden was Hoover from Michigan (but moved to Indiana)

My fathers father is Faircloth from Georgia
My fathers mother maiden was Tuggle from Stone Mountain Ga
 
Guess what?? Because of this thread I found my great-great-great grandparents AND it's possible that we are related to the "Lost Colony of Roanoke"!

When I typed the names in this thread I decided to look on the 'net too. I typed in my great great grandfather's name and found someone else had posted it a couple of years ago. I emailed the lady and she emailed me back some info.

Wow....is BYC magic?

any fellers out there? maybe barbers? i have yet to meet someone in my area who shares my first or last name that i am not directly related to.
 
Maiden name was St.Clair (Scottish)
Paternal family names,..Lilly, Ferguson, Wills, and Meador
Maternal family names,...Walker, Allen, Leach, and Freeman
ALL families was here in the 13 original colonies(Mostly VA and PA) and not known to be kin to no famous people.
