Last year I set my bantam hen on eggs. On day 22 she had 6 chicks ready to see the out side world. This was on a hot August day. I placed her and her 6 babies in the brooder pen and since she had 4 eggs lift unhatched I removed them and while I was moving her and her chicks I layed the "bad" eggs on top of a white bucket in the sun.
I was 71 years old last year and like some old people I forgot about the eggs and went into the house. When I made my way out to check the chicks in the evening I heard cheeps coming from the bucket. The "bad" eggs had hatched!

Wow. I guess you can never be too careful giving the fuzz butts some extra time to hatch.

they're lucky you can heard them, if you didn't hear them, they'll die of being baked by heat of sunlight.
