Last year I set my bantam hen on eggs. On day 22 she had 6 chicks ready to see the out side world. This was on a hot August day. I placed her and her 6 babies in the brooder pen and since she had 4 eggs lift unhatched I removed them and while I was moving her and her chicks I layed the "bad" eggs on top of a white bucket in the sun.
I was 71 years old last year and like some old people I forgot about the eggs and went into the house. When I made my way out to check the chicks in the evening I heard cheeps coming from the bucket. The "bad" eggs had hatched!
