So most of you have seen the post in emergencies of the maggots and MayMay, and her being sick and yada yada.... She is back to 100%, but it seems that she still think she needs to come inside for her treats that she would get after I cleaned her twice a day. SO...... DH let me let her in when I came in from the grocery. I was running late so I just picked him up something. When MayMay finally figured out where I had gotten dinner from she was NOT amused.....,.Can you guess where I went?????

"HI GUYSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! I came for dinner Mom! give me a plate. yum yum. What are we having?"

"Wait, is that... that KFC?????????????? KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN??????? OMG nooooo nooo no....Unless you got some mashed potatoes and mac n cheese?"

"Shame on you Mommy....I am outta here."

So, she's a vegetarian?

I'm so glad MayMay's all better! When we had roosters the only way I could ever catch them was with luncheon meat. They never had chicken, but I don't think they would have cared if they had :D

Love it! I am not a vegetarian and didn't become one since getting the girls but I get pangs of guilt if I eat chicken in any shape or form. I swear the girls know when I'm eating it, too. I can't believe I have to resort to eating in the walk in closet but my chicken consumption has gone way down :)

OMG, is there anything that a Jersey Giant won't eat? I swear my JG would eat an aluminum can if I left it in their run.

You'd think I didn't feed her. She has two big feeders in the run, one with crumbles and the other pellets. But she's eaten straw (got a nasty case of sour crop), pine shavings are a favorite, Pistache leaves are also a big favorite. She'll pluck long stems off the Nasturtium and slurp the the whole steam and leave like it's a noodle. I used to FREAK after the incident w/ the straw and sour crop, which required a trip to the vet. Now I just try to keep an eye on her. But I never brought back straw. Got rid of all of it.

I figure if she kills herself, she died happy and with a fully tummy. I just can't watch her every second and she'd be miserable all cooped up in a small run. So I figure we're striking a happy balance. And she's never had any issue since. So maybe she really does know best.
