Do chickens sometimes appear while you are away?

I often wonder how bad some of us have the chicken fever...

Lol yup DW and kids hatched 4 out of 5 eggs this time while I was out now that you mention it. It's OK though she let me know about it first. I bet them rabbits are gonna magically appear

Thank you for a fun introduction thread all.

If I mention I am off to the feed store, hubby drops whatever he is doing and volunteers to come with me .. I know that it is to ensure I do not bring home anything other than feed ;)

One day he couldn't drop everything and come with me but we did have the following conversation as I left:

Him: Do not bring home anything other than feed!
Me: [Innocently] Like what?
Him: I don't know, a giraffe!

This is Gerry who came home with me that day :p

Anyways, I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Lol I said the same thing to my wife b/c she's always trying to pick up strays.. one day when I'm rich I'll open up a shelter for her furry friends. Having the chickens seems to help but I kmow her heart is in the right place. Funny story is one day one of her favorite roos got killed by a dog and let's just say she didn't take to kindly to that. Lol I thought she was gonna round up all the strays and have a trial... lol
