mc rib or mc fatness

My family eats at mcdonalds a few times a year, but only if 1) there is nowhere else to get food and 2) we don't have the money for anywhere else anyway.
We would prefer a local mexican food place, but it's failed a few health inspections, so we don't eat there anymore.

In-N-Out is a favorite, though. My daddy takes me there every year for my birthday!

Most come with their own but but you can request more on the side if you like. I tell em to hold the laxative and add mustard.

I tried a McRib once when they were first introduced. As I recall, it had tougher areas in it that were supposed to be the ribs. I immediately thought I was chewing gristle and gagged on it. Have never felt even tempted to try another, and I can't believe they keep reintroducing it as something wonderful.

I remember eating McRibs when they first had them. It was OK. My uncle loves McRibs and he still eats them today.

Well I figured McRibs were made of parts that is uneatable by Americans but delicacy to foreigners....remember the foodie guy, Andrew Z? I bet that McRib has pig snouts, pigs feet, tails, whatever it can be made into it. I guess it can not be worse than haggis (its delicious!).

Lets see. The bun is going to be about 65% of the sandwich. Then the sauce is going to be a large percentage, and is that thing breaded? Breading takes up a large percentage. Then there's probably a pickle that is part of the total.

So maybe the "meat" is 10% of the sandwich. It's just flavoring for the bread that you have bought. So 2% muscle meat isn't quite as bad as it sounds. That means the patty is 1/5 meat.

I like good food so I haven't eaten at McDonalds for about 30 years. I used to sneak in and buy the french fries that were fried in tallow, but since they stopped that practice, their fries are just like any other fast food fries and I haven't been back.

I know a lot of people eat at Mickie Dee's, but the food is just nasty. There is so much good food available I just can't see eating there.

I don't understand why people love McDonalds so much. Even as a kid I hated McDonalds! The food is bland and tasteless, and the fries have got to be the worst out of all the fast food chains. They taste like cardboard to me...(just my opinion;))

But then again I don't really like any fast food places; they just gross me out. I worked at Burger King when I was in high school and I saw what went on in the back. Yuck. The only times I ever eat it is when we're on a road trip or something and don't have any other options. Hearing all this stuff about the McRib and the poultry farms and the way that food is made just enforces my feelings on the matter.

I'd much rather make my own food, or go to a real restaurant.

And just where did you get that info from. You cant just throw a " fact" out there without backing it up. Did you research or did you read it at a vegan or pro-animal rights website?

I love pork and barbequed pork. So once when McDs brought the McRib out about 10 years ago, I thought I'd try it. It was soooo yucky! I think I took one bite and that was it. It tasted like a really bad hot dog bathed in a yucky BBQ sauce. Haven't tried it since. I had just heard people talking about how good it was and thought I'd give it a try.

I don't know how old you are but if you were eating McD's in the late 60's to 70's, those FF were absolutely my favorite! When they changed the oil to healthier oil (yeah right!), the FF were awful! You literally have to go to the bathroom often.

The hamburgers, well, it is not too bad but goodness, it was HIGH in sodium...you could not ask for a sodium free burger, couldn't you?

Anyone tried McD's salads? Side salad not too shabby, probably better than anything on the menu.

LOLing at the bathroom comment!!! Yeah, I was born in '78, so I guess I missed the good fries...would've loved to have tried them, though.
