McDonald's Drive Thru Rant *Rawr*

Having to wait is bad enough but add the heat, driving off and discovering that part of the order is wrong or missing really is the icing on the cake for me..I dislike having to park, go in, wait etc butI have found that to be the only way that I can get it right and reasonbly on time..kinda knocks fast food in the head!!!!

I never pull up. It's their way of fooling the system. The point of fast food is it to be fast. We pulled up once and then my sandwich was COLD. NOT cool, COLD. We went in to get a fresh one.

i try not to complian to a min-wage type resturant....
dont want my food spit on...
if i dont like the service i just wont go back
i use to go to a gas station but the clerk was allways rude to me..he would complain when i gave him a $20 and just plain grumpy...
so i tried the new station and they was nice and friendly so they got my service....
best way to show you dont like there service is to go somewhere else....

Hubby and I hate drive thrus and we found out by walk in, we would get our food faster than the ones sitting outside. Yes it takes effort to get out of car, walk, order your food, and back to your car.

If that McD got druggies working, they are really breaking the law and liability would be even greater.

yeah, the best is when it's 100 out , they hand you you drink, tell u to pull up and there is no straw

cause lord knows you can't take off the cap, you need the straw.....

all restraunts are different, some of more strict than others, the one I work at, everyone are druggies, and smoke, even the managers...they arn't the best...but still, as I said it does take TIME to cook, NONE of it is already cooked.

Like I said, bad management. If those are the people they choose to work for them, they are pretty sad.

Call me a food snob, but I don't know why people go to McDonald's in the first place-- the only worse place for fast food I can think of is Jack in the Box. Yuck.

Still, the entire point of McDonald's existence to begin with, and especially the drive through, is to get your food to you FAST. If they can't manage to even do that, then why go there at all? Seems kind of counter-productive if you can't even get your crappy food quickly.

(If you want to "cure" yourself of eating McDonald's specifically, and significantly reduce your consumption of fast food generally, may I recommend reading "Fast Food Nation " by Eric Schlosser? Definitely an eye-opener, and possibly a belly-reducer!)

Yep-- if there is even a single car in the drive through, that's typically what I do. Faster, and they seem to be more polite that way.

Guys, please keep this civil... No swearing and/or flamming, ok?

If it's that bad, don't go to McD again.

McD didnt taste as good as it used to be. We went out to eat once in three years to McD and it didnt taste too bad but not the same taste as I grew up with...all that beef flavored fat that they fried the fries in. Yummy! Now, its yucky!

I have the opposite problem -- I order very simple things at my local Jack in the Box at the counter, inside. Meaning, I park my car, turn my car off, and walk inside. Some person will come through drive-thru ordering enough food for 8 only a few minutes later and I get ignored for 20 minutes. If I made the effort to shut off my engine (hence not belching garbage into the atmosphere), walk in your store, and order to your face with utter politeness, why are you kowtowing to the big boy barking his huge order at you in Drive-Thru?
