McDonald's finally did something right

I couldn't finish watching it. Some sick and cowardly people inhabit this earth. Treat little chickies like trash because they know the chickies can't fight back. Cowards. Nothing manly about it.
I hate McDonalds for their nasty grease filled foods and their animal cruelty. This is why when I go to grocery stores I demand to know where my meat and eggs are coming from. I don't care if I cause a ruckus in the store, no way am I giving money to help cause more suffering.

I agree.. its the sicko workers...

Although as a world wide company, you reeeeally should go and check where your meat/eggs is coming from before you serve it to a billion folks... No?

That was horrible to watch, I have tears in my eyes. I love my girls so much I could never imagine them going through that. My stomach turned as I watched those poor chickens going through that. How can people be so heartless to a living creature? Makes me ill.

as someone said, McDonald's didn't "change" anything. They simply moved to another company that hasn't been exposed yet. In every industry, you are going to have some callous, cruel workers. Add in some editing and sad music and VIOLA! Instant internet hit!

Why does McDonald's buy from places like that? Because, in the end, people don't give a rat's patootie where their food comes from. Sure McDonald's could go to a supplier that has free-range eggs (cage free often just means the chickens are locked in a giant building instead of tiny cages. 1000s of birds locked in a room isn't any better than battery cages.) What would happen? There would be a short surge of feel-good "Oh McDonald's is so nice for doing that!" and then would come the resentment of the higher prices. Business would drop off and the company would lose money.

People want cheap food that tastes OK and they want it quickly. They want the story behind the scenes to stay behind the scenes. In this day and age, is there any reason that people would NOT know where their food comes from? It's all over the internet. Yet, you have people who actually think like this!

I personally know people who never knew that hamburger came from cows. Not because the food industry is keeping that a secret, but because they don't WANT to know. They don't want to think that they are eating a living animal; that is sick and cruel, right? They want their food to come in little wrappers with cheerful logos, served with a side of OJ by a smiling employee. The rest should just stay in the closet.

I have no desire to watch it. Or entertain myself with the desired responses hoped for by filming it. The environment is as best as it can be for what must be done to satisfy the consumer with affordable fast food. You want to play the blame game blame the consumer.

At a grocery store your pretty much guarenteed to have food coming from a factory operation, thats why its so cheap.
