I think callduck meant that the bulk of available eggs. Organic sections at the stores are usually very small due to limited demand/sales. The consumer speaks and industry listens.

I don't understand your comment. Cage free and organic eggs are available in most stores.

McDonalds doest employ them their old supplier did...

I'm not talking about the McNasty's incompetent drive-thru workers. I'm talking about the suppliers, those sickos. There's no reason to treat lovely chickens with so much abuse unless they're not right in the head.

No, but is that really McDonalds fault? I think someone already pointed out that if McDonalds switched to cage free eggs they would have to raise their prices for food. How many people do you think really care where the eggs come from? They just want cheap food.

The only thing I have ever liked about McDonalds is their fries. The rest all tastes like crap anyway. If they went out of buisness tomorrow I wouldn't miss them.

I ate a lot of their cheeseburgers in my youth. Anymore I don't care for it too much. I don't necessarily eschew fast food, but look for better fare than McDonald's. There are two places that I do visit often. One is a diner that specializes in Chicago style hot dogs and another is a small stand that sells gyros. They both have quality food and are locally owned and run by the owners.

I am honestly amazed at the conversation my post has brought about. Mostly good, some not so much. Really, do we care if it is for publicity that they stopped using a farm that abuses the birds? Whatever the reason is, they DID stop. Where they go next? Who knows. Maybe because of this, they will be more observant of the farm practices. Target also stopped carrying that farms eggs. If a snowball effect happens here, it is only a GOOD thing. And we all know that we have flies and mice. But not the extent that that farm did. Usually when one has a problem there is something in place to fix it. Not at that farm.
