McMurray has their 2008 day old chick's listed for order already

We got their catalog in the mail yesterday and the 5 yo got ahold of it before me. He is now adding chicks to his Christmas wish list! He likes Black Australorps. When I told him what they are called he misspronounced it Lobsterlorps and I'm still giggling. We are hoping to order just 6-8(combining with a friend) but the list is getting longer after looking at the catalog. The little guy wants a turkey or two but I had to tell him that if we get one it would eventually be dinner so he changed his mind.

so i have a stupid question since i've never ordered any chickens online. do these hatcheries only sell at certain times? i seen something about feb availability and when i looked at the mcmurry website everything I saw said not available. It would be good to know since i plan on getting chickens as soon as I get moved into the new house which should be the first week of december


ahh nevermind....last time i was on taht site most everything I was looking at said unavailable but now they show available again
