McMurray question on shipping chicks - need advice

It's possible to pick chicks up on Sunday, even though the PO isn't open? We have chicks coming next week, but I assumed it would be Monday, because the PO isn't open on Sundays. Might not be the case, huh?

Glad to see you delayed, I think you did the right thing. My McMurray order last year was shipped over the President's Day weekend...added an extra day even tho they said it wouldn't. Six dead in box. Argg..

McMurray does guarantee a live arrival though.
They'll refund for any dead chicks that arrive.
We had one dead in the box, but it was a packing peanut so I wasn't too sad.

My parents ordered from McMurray last summer with chicks to hatch on July 5th (I think that's right, the hatch date was supposed to be a Saturday). The order didn't come the day they expected, so they called the hatchery, and McMurray said they moved the hatch day back a day because of the holiday weekend. So the chicks hatched on Sunday, and arrived a day later than Mom and Dad expected. All was well with their babies.
