What does the chewing motion mean?! I have a newbie who is making chewing and swallow motions! She is about 5 hours post a VERY long zip. Like, 36 hours... We assisted too...is the yolk absorbed? Any chewing or yawning?

Mixed breeds. Cream leghorns, speckled sussex, silver laced wyandottes and rhode island reds. This morning I have one externally pipped and several rocking and rolling. So weird. Fingers crossed!!Wow that's pretty late what breed were they?

Sweet chick!She had to be removed from the incubator because her energy levels were through the roof! I have 2 more eggs in there about to hatch. She loves the warmth of a hand and hot water bottle (covered in layers, obviously)![]()
