So I got a little blue egg on Saturday. The "chicks" are about 14 weeks old give a little. The egg was small and my hens normally lay more greenish eggs so I thought it must be my giant cochin because all the other chicks lay brown eggs, right? I looked up pictures so I could find out what kind of chicken it was to ask you guys if they lay blue eggs but the pictures of chickens like Rosie I found were giant blue/barred cochin roosters! I got her(him) from Wilco and the label said "giant cochin" so I'm not sure her exact species. I'm curious if Rosie is a girl or boy and where that egg came from! Any body have any ideas?
