Mealworm farming questions

You got it all Kris! :bow

But I just unplugged the incubator... the goose eggs were quitters, not their fault, I blame the raccoons. :( And I’m almost out of feeder sized worms, so that chicken will be looking a lot less smug in a few days. Hence why I suggest starting with staggered batches!

But yes I’ve got all that, and more... in less than 200 sq feet! I’m working on making the space a bit more functional ;) and oh so many things happening! Sometimes I miss the peaceful, calm city life... as opposed to the frantic pace of the pastoral countryside and farming! But I have to say, I’m getting in better physical shape for sure, and wouldn’t trade it for anything less than a small fortune!

Heres another angle that gives a better perspective of my current set up. Please excuse my mess, I was cleaning today, and it always gets worse before it gets better!

Now that they are under, rather than on top of my coffee table, my mother has stopped complaining so much. I’m in very close proximity during all of my leisure time (reading, eating, hanging out on chicken forums...) and honestly there’s not really any smell or issues (as long as I stay on top of maintenance). If I am gone for more than one week and they don’t get sifted... there is a faint odor.

No, no, say it ain’t so! No city life could be calmer than the peaceful existence of the country.

And I love the drill sitting on the coffee table. Mine is on my kitchen counter and is never put away, simply because I’m NEVER through with it. There’s always something that I’m tinkering with.
