Mealworm farming

8 beatles, 120 pupas, and 700-800 mealworms left...... Now, when do they start laying eggs? is it when they first are bettles? or when their shelly thing is black?

My farm is growing YAY!!!!!!!

I'm so anxious that mine won't breed and I'll end up with a box of dead carcasses and now new generation! Dang, I have to do something about this negative thinking, LOL.

I did dig up a bunch of huge worms an one grub that my birds enjoyed, LOL :D

Oh my, i have tons n tons of busy lil beetles! I cant wait for the worms to grow and my chickens to be happier.
i see a few wee womies when i put the taters in carrots in and lift them a few minutes later. Hungry lil buggers they are!

Totally off topic and frustrated, my chickens wont eat worms.. wont even go near them!
really weird! i laid a piece of old carpeting on the ground and theres a ton when i lift it up.
they look at them and run away? Same for the guineas... just so odd.
but they do like mealies and fight over them, chicken football at its best!
when i work in the garden, they will take any worm they find, wondering if its a different type, dunno...
they look the same.
