Mealworm farming

I didn't start the thread, but I've been here a while, I am sure you are welcome to join!
Thank you!

On a side note, I do have to say that Amy's packaging was top notch. The cloth bag she used was really good quality. I would be interested to hear how other people have received their worms (that didn't order from Amy). Were they in containers, bags, with food, etc.?
I didn't use Amy. I used a company called 'Super crickets' in Saskatchewan, Canada. They put the worms in the box, I had to rip the whole box apart. It was very sad. But I do enjoy the quality of worms I got. They put some type of fruit in with them.

After reading about 20 pages of this thread I'm throwing up the white flag. Just can't read everything. I'll be following this thread with interest however as I plan on starting a mealworm system. Any help in pointing out past pages that would be considered a "must read" would be appreciated. Thanks

Page one links are all you really need, then you can ask questions even if they are covered elsewhere in the thread. Pay special attention to the fact that you should put the substrate you are using in a low oven or 30 minutes or more to get rid of hitchhikers. I did a small summary about two pages back basically stating the same thing.

Hate to break it to ya, :) but it's ALL worth reading. Really!! I'd be hard put past the first page to be able to really point out one page more than another.

Read some every day--it took me a long time and that was doing very little BUT read the darn thing (although I admit it was only 349 pages at the time)--and it was well worth the investment.

On all fronts--those who have entered the asylum, a hearty welcome!! You'll be here a while (because the doors just don't swing that direction, :) ) and I hope you enjoy every moment!

I mean, first you have these....

I'm going to second onafixedincome. I'm on page 158 now. Even though this is not my first time raising mealworms, and I'm confident enough in my abilities that I could have set up a farm without this thread, I still have found every page to be informative and humorous.
Taking the time to read every page is well worth the effort, I think. Even if it's only a couple pages a day, which is what I am seeming to manage. Eventually I will finish this thread. Eventually. In the meanwhile I am enjoying it thoroughly, lol.
As an aside, not only is there great information in the thread itself, but people have cool links in their sigs that leads to other information
