Mine take 10 weeks from being laid as eggs until they are 1 inch. How big are yours. So i can go compare and see how far they have to go.

i have found that deaths during pupae stage can be fixed with some humidity. Like lettuce leaves or even a jar half full of water in their bin. Make sure it cant tip though.Congratulations, Rae!! I'm shocked too, the after 4 months, you have babies! And I'm so happy for both of us! Now I won't give up hope for sure, i'll just wait it out. I have been getting some worms, but not many. Seems like they're are dying in the pupae stage again. I thought it was the cold, but since it's not too cold and I've moved them into my store room that is warmed by my big freezer, that can't be it. Maybe not enough moisture? I was just going to toss the drawer that has just been kind of sitting, but I think I'll wait just a bit longer, lol.
I would say you have about five weeks until they are larges. It all depends on temps.
yep they shed about 20 times as worms. Glad they are doing goodWe had to leave for 2 weeks and I was so worried about my little worms. Simon I put lots of baby carrots and prayed for the best. We got home and I found a trillion of them! I think more hatched out while I was gone, I quickly added more baby carrots and watched. I forgot, do the worms shedd? I really got worried because there were lots of them in one corner. I panicked at first then I saw I had a trillion so I was OK with it... I took a few pictures of them on the baby carrots, I'll try and send them...
