Hi!
I spent the whole day cleaning my much beloved chicken coop. Only to arrive at the nesting boxes to clean them and find MEALWORMS wiggling around in the straw.

blah.
How did they get there?
Are they any harm to the chicken coop?
Yuck. Just writing about them makes me itchy!

What can I do about them?
Y'all might say "nothing". It wouldn't be such a big deal if I hadn't seen them, but now that I did, how can i get rid of 'em?
Thank you!

If you're certain they're mealworms, why not let the chickens clean it up for you? They'd probably really enjoy the treat. I mostly get earwigs that seem to like to hide in the doorframe of my coop. If I spot them I just grab my most bug hungry chick and point her at the bugs and she takes them out in seconds.

That's what I would do. Since you're cleaning out the coop anyway just spread everything out in the pen and let your birds have at it. I'm surprised they never found them whist in the coop!
