Mean chicken!

I have a similar situation.

After the neighbor's dog got our alpha BR, my leghorn took over. I have since gotten three more chicks i am raising. The leghorn has turned mean toward the new chicks, one more than the others, but still chases them quite often. I leave them all in a fenced pen during the day, but bring in the chicks at night as it is still too cool for them to stay out.

Is there anyway I can break this cycle of meanness? If it helps my flock size is six, but the three young ones and the older ones act like two different flocks.

I have 10 Buff Orpingtons. They are super sweet and love attention, but I have been their "MOM" from day 2. I am trying to intergrate a Lavender Orp x Faverolle Rooster who is 3 weeks younger than the flock. This new bird is NOT friendly at all. Perhaps he has never has human contact or he is just "wrong" in the head, but he is mean. I have been reading about how docile Faverolles are and I just shake my head because I don't understand his behavior. Any advice?
