When do things start to smooth out? My flock is 5 1/2 months old. I'm wary of my cockerel, sometimes. He seems to be great with the girls. (I posted about this in another thread; hopefully it's ok to bring it up again here.) He is challenging me SOMETIMES, usually in the morning. As the days get shorter and colder, I hope he chills out too.
I know they are all individuals. I had to cull two cockerels who were problems that only showed signs of getting much worse. I will put up with this guy and do my best to "fix" his attitude. My husband said he bets we end up with zero cockerels. I'm hoping he's wrong.
