Mean Hen

So I have a female turkey (Bronze) that attacks my male turkey (Broadbreasted White) in the neck and head area and will take his head to the ground and has even been known to drag him a bit. Once we see it we seperate them, but is this a common thing and if so is it good or bad lol. Oh and they are 13 months old,and we got the girl 2 weeks before the male. Thanks

I have some hens that beat up on the boys, some hens that like to kick the snot out of oblivious roosters and some hens that are just as sweet as pie. If she is not doing any real damage then she could just be putting him in his place...... if she is continuous and possibly bad enough to take out an eye, I'd separate her until her hormones calm down.....

I also have a white male turkey that likes my chicken hens instead of turkeys... dumb turkey....
