Mean ole DH

DH had to work this morning so he got up at about 6:00 and left. I got up at 9:00 and went straight outside to let the chickens out and noticed DH already let them out. So I go about feeding them and talking to them when all of a sudden I see it...a large brown egg in one of the nest boxes.

I'm thinking man this egg is big for such young pullets. Oh I forgot to mention my girls are 18 weeks old today and I'm waiting for the first egg. I pick up the egg to find that it's a plastic egg that I keep on my egg scale in the kitchen.

I called DH and as soon as he picked up the phone he was dyin laughin.

Mean ole DH!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in my college days, putting saran wrap under the toilet seat was good for a laugh but surely there's something better!!?? I have to admit, that was a GOOD joke on you!! Poor baby!

I'm glad mine has not thought of that one. Mine will be 20 weeks this Wed. and i am going crazy in anticipation too. Good laugh to start your day though.......and all of ours too.

That's a great idea, especially since one of my girls pooped on it already.

I left it in the nesting box, I figure it's a good lil hint to the girls.​

I was just talking to DH and he said he's be planning to do that for a couple of days now. He just didn't remember til this morning.

Of course now he's at work telling everyone what he did to me and all these big construction guys are rolling on top of a roof laughin at me.
