I don't know how cold it gets where you are.
At 7 weeks they should have a proper set of feathers. I don't use broody coops, or heat lamps, or even incubators. Here even at minus 6 Centigrade as long as the cockerels and pullets can keep dry and out of the wind they survive.
@Redhead Rae makes a good point regarding supplementary heat. If you've been using this then I would shut that off while they are still in the broody coop to get them used to lower temps.

I found out that he is not being aggressive and that he only peck when the girls drift away to kind of herd them back , it's kind of cool to watch him work.

If they have supplemental heat, you need to wean them off of that. However, they should be alright once you get them used to the cold weather
