The silkie may be a hatchery quality silkie. The grey is a polish silkie cross.

It means that it is not bred to the Standard of Perfection, but I'm not sure if it only pertains to hatchery birds or people who own birds with the quality of breeder birds. It's really hard to explain. I wish I had a neat little article that I could quote when this perfectly normal question arises.
