Hi, we are looking to start raising meat rabbits this spring/summer and I am in the process of trying to find a buck and doe or already bred doe, but that is proving to be harder than I thought it would be.

So what is the best way to find your starting stock? I have searched Craigslist, no luck (there are some, but I am NOT driving an hour away to purchase a rabbit or two) not yet anyway. I have been searching places on FB too. I know someone who owns some meat rabbits, but they won't sell any.

So what other ways have you found your stock?

I am finding it MUCH easier to get meat birds than rabbits.
