Med or Non Med starter?

I used the Medicated starter with my spring batch and I am trying the non medicated starter for my fall batch. Are you still able to call your meat birds all organic if you use a medicated starter?

Also looking for opinions on using this non medicated starter. Good idea or bad idea?

As your link says...it is definitely a personal choice.

For my chicks I start them on medicated. Have heard too many sad stories of chicks getting cocci---and people either pumping them with a lot of meds later....or the chicks dying.

IMO their getting off to a good healthy start is a way for them to live long and prosper.
