Medical Mystery, can you help solve?

I'll look for Valbazen, and if I can't find it locally, I'll order it online. Thanks to both for the advice. It sounds like I give it to them straight, not diluted?

I like to take my scale out with me, weigh each bird, and then draw the Valbazen up into a syringe (with no needle of course) to get the correct dosage. Are you comfortable administering it directly into the crop/esophagus? This is the most efficient method to make sure they get all of it.

I went to the store but the only Valbazen was large quantity and very expensive. I'll order the smaller amount online. In the meantime, I discovered I had Safe Guard on hand and added 3 ML/gallon to their water this morning. I was planning to do that for about 4 days. Kathy, if I am reading your post correct, you advise giving Henry a full strength dose for 5 days? No dilution in water?

Nambroth, I had seen these pictures before and thought they were very helpful. With my husband's help, I can probably get one dose orally a day in Henry for 5 days, but that is probably his limit.

Don't bother with the 3ml per gallon, it's not effective. If you want to see how ineffective it is, check out post 54 of this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...feather-damage-while-molting/50#post_14133795

Or this thread:

Both of the OP's treated their birds with 3ml Safeguard per gallon, both still had worms.

So if Henry were mine, I would weigh him and give Safeguard at 0.23ml per pound orally for five days. If I could not weigh him, I would just try to guess his weight. No need to dilute it.

Henry just had his first dose of Safe Guard undiluted. I'll let you know how he does. Thanks for all the advice!
