Just out of curiosity, I have 10 broilers hanging out with a new flock of hens.
I have feed them all medicated feed and are about a month old. I assume when I put the broilers out on the field, and start feeding them meat bird feed, there shouldn't be an issue with the meat since it has been introduced to medicated feed. Right? In other words it should be safe for human consumption. Right? They go 16 weeks, 4 weeks on medicated and 12 on meat bird.
I believe I read from a USDA document that you can feed medicated feed till 10 days before slaughter. Not sure I would do that but I want to make sure.
I know the common policy with eggs and medicated feed is 10 days. Just not sure on meat aspects of things.
