Meds being taken off the shelf in 2017

Now I understand.

I can see why. That's why I'm just thinking about going with the link I had, said if it's an antibiotic that is injected it stays. If it's not an injection it will require a vet. Can't wait to be a vet now.

Please dont take this wrong but, our Politicians that love to take away or make things harder for us also leave many loop holes in the systems they try to regulate. The rumour'mill makes a lot of us get scared about the upcoming tightening of the belt but there is always a work around. Fowl people, ranchers, sheep herders, etc... Will always figure a way around the obstacles and keep on truckin',

One antibiotic that will still be available OTC is BMD (bacitracin)

Another thing, the bigger producers will probably fight it as well. If this costs extra that means prices will go up as well making other people mad. Not like all antibiotics will be removed but this change will definitely frighten many people. Especially fowl people since not many vets will accept fowl patients. Hopefully vets will communicate more often now.

That's good yet odd. I would've thought they would've put that on the list. Hopefully they keep it off the list.
There are a few more that aren't on the list, but I know nothing about them, so I didn't mention them. The ones that are on the list are ones considered medically important in human medicine, which I guess BMD is not. -Kathy
