I’ve been seeing on my FB chicken groups posts with signs up at TSC and RK that after 6/13 for antibiotics we will need a script going forward.

Can we just order from Canada to stock up or will that not work?

Just putting it out there so people can comment.

Are you grabbing anything before the deadline?
What if anything are you doing?

I have Corid and Safeguard but that’s it. Flock of 25. Not sure if this is a concern or not only had chickens a year.

I bought aqua mox, I also have baytril and one other one. I'm going to buy more aqua mox, it's been my go to for bumblefoot infection, internal laying infection and predator attacks.

There is no doubt that we will no longer be able to obtain many of the antibiotics we've been using for sick chickens, at least without jumping through hoops with a vet in the loop. (See what I did there?) But as far as I understand, we will still be able to order fish antibiotics and they will have a new statement on the label: "Not for human consumption".

I've used stored antibiotics for years after their expiration dates and my sick chickens recovered just as well as if they were fresh out of the gate.
