Meet Chloe.....our Jersey milk cow.....or will be

That is exactly the type of halter I use Red-hen. The only difference is, I build my own. They only take 15 minutes to put together and size up. If anyone wants a detailed instruction set for building one email me.

She is so pretty

I miss having cattle and raising bottle calves

Constant gentle handling makes a difference, for the heifers. No matter how much we loved on our bulls...one day they just woke up and were bulls. The difference of how docile the heifers are, is the opposite in the spectrum for the bulls. That has just been my experience on the dairy farm. Enjoy her. Respect her, and remember no matter how well 'trained', sometimes accidents happen and she will spook...dogs come racing thru, someone drops a bucket...they will kick out, sometimes, not always. ... They are worth their trouble.

all dairy breed bulls turn meaner than the devil.a very few might stay gentle.but a jersey bull is born with killing in his blood.retired dairymen after 27yrs of milking.

She is beautiful!! Where did you get her. I called all over Texas for (3) days trying to find one a couple weeks back, with no luck. I live in Southeast Texas near Beaumont. Maybe you can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Bulls are a different kettle of fish all together. My dad used to warn me never to believe anyone who claimed to have a gentle bull. Dad's friend had a "gentle" bull for many years - right up until the day it mauled the guy, sadly. (Mom and dad were both raised on dairy farms)
