Don't know if I'll keep them all or not yet. I thinking about down sizing the chickens to make room for the ducks. The ducks are so much fun to watch. They're just too funny.

wait till you get those runners.... it's impossible to get rid of runners... they are so cute and funny and doofy that you can't find it in your heart to rid yourself of them... lol

that is why i avoid ducky runner babies.... i'd end up with 15 house ducks...

That's what I did, and I'm tempted to get rid of my chickens altogether. I started the summer with over 50 chickens, and now I have about 8. The ducks are just so much friendlier, and they are full of personality! They will actually stand there and "talk" to you in their little duck voices, and pull on the back of your legs for treats. They are also much cuter.

Even my DH loves the ducks. I know I'll keep some chickens as I love the eggs and I give eggs to friends, but I have at least 50 chickens so I need to downsize. I know I'll keep my porcelain dutch and my barred and partridge rocks. And I'll keep my best Silkie brood hens Fruit Loop and Biscuit. We just find the ducks so much fun.
