Meet Micro Chip

I looked at the site recommended. While it has some good info, they slant everything as if every household in America wants to breed, campaign, pure show dogs. Less than 1% of households show dogs. The rest of us just enjoy them. There is a lot of misinformation on that site. Check your facts before you believe everything you read on "tha innerweb"

Yes I noticed that. I am interested in the dollars breeding him can bring!!! More money, more food.

I sincerely hope you're joking.

No, I am not joking. Almost none of American households give a whit about showing dogs. Any healthy happy dog has equal value as a pet as any other dog, regardless of breed, color, size, shape, activity level. Show people make bank on their litters. They claim "loss" because the write off motor homes, travel, clothing, feed, kennels, vet, phone, fax, a third of their house, etc...
If you just limited them to $ in, from selling puppies, against $ out, from food and vaccinations and vet costs, they would come out as making a HUGE profit on thier puppies. Not all, but some. I dated a guy that bred/showed German Shorthair Pointers. Travelled all over the country, had the top rated dogs in the nation five years running, won at Westminster. Lemme tell you, he KILLED when he sold a litter, and got very high stud fees for his males. $1-2k per breeding. His best dog was still fathering litters at seventeen years old. You do the math. The ladies had litters as big as eight to fouteen per litter. They were all carefully placed in the best homes possible. He was a responsible breeder. He made a LOT of money. That doesn't even count what he made as a professional handler. Plus he had his full time job. He did okay with the dog thing. Truth is, to the pet owners, it didn't matter one bit how many dogs trotted around and came home with plaques, won futurities, sired champions. All they cared is that they thought their dog was pretty, and they were a joy to live with. You can get the exact same thing with unregistered, and/or mixed breed dogs.

Why would I be joking? Stud fees for his breed are anywhere from $300 to $1,000 and he is a fully papered, AKC registered animal from a reputeable breeder. The fact of the matter is, this economy suck and if I can make some money to put more food on my table, I am gonna do it. We run to close to the edge to look a gift horse in the mouth. And in the meantime, he is awesome, sweet, loving, funny little dog that I love to carry around with me - he even sleeps with us which I thought Ken would say no to.

Also, anyone willing to pay the stud fee that is that high is seriously interested in breeding pups that are purebred. It's not like I am going to stud him out to the guy down the street with 6 chihuahuas.

Be SURE to make EVERYONE test their girl dogs for brucellosis, even if it's your mom's dog. You could lose your stud right out of the gate if the first dog he breeds is positive. No test, no testosterone!

It has been two days. Why don't we have more pictures??!!
