Hello! I'm newly registered to BYC and cannot wait to share information and ideas with the community. I currently have twenty-five twenty week old chickens, five roos and twenty hens(two of the roos will be going to a new home very soon). I have four buff orpingtons, four barred rocks, eleven EE's, two speckled sussex, two black stars, one blue andalusian, and one welsumer. They live in a very secure and very spacious pen with a large coop and eight nesting boxes. They are not yet laying but expecting eggs around the end of January beginning of February. I am not new to raising chickens. I have taken care of chickens for three years now. I have learned many lessons these past years like how to properly clean eggs, what the best materials for chickens are (in my opinion), and what I can do to prevent predators. I can't wait to continue to learn new things about my chickens and make them some of the happiest birds in the area!

to have you join the family. Enjoy your time here at BYC!
