Yall are all too sweet!! I’m sorry I can’t reply to everyone.. I have to hurry before this thing messes up! This month marks three years of me keeping chickens and this month (today) I lost my first gal... Lilly died from ascites...
I was out riding my bike on my driveway and the flock headed to the coop.. well, while they were in there TRUMP kept giving the alarm call.. I couldn’t think of a reason but he’d do it then he’d stop.. this went on for about 10 minutes and I could see no one was headed to roost.. and then he started big time and wouldn’t stop so I thought that maybe there was something in the coop and they were scared.. so I went to check and there was Lilly It was sad but I kinda expected it from what I read... she did not suffocate as she was still very red... that was my biggest worry! But of course she was one of my favorites... here is silly Lilly...
