Meet my Chick!

Pics
They are so silly at bed time 🤦‍♀️... here are all the big gals.. I think they stand for a good while before they settle... maybe they are hot and waiting for it to cool down some... View attachment 2285432
Mine stand when it's hot until it cools down. That's probably it. It's pretty hot where you are.

They are a beautiful bunch. :love

LOVE your chick names!!! Perfect! I hatched some EE's too (7.25 and 7.26). I named the six of them off of characters of Grey's Anatomy. (I only hatch once every year or every other year.) The way I name them helps me remember which group they hatched with... Congrats on the new additions to your flock!

Gorgeous flock! I love that white one on the end!
Thank you so much! And isn’t it so fun choosing names for them! I was planning to switch to a flower theme but that only applied to the last three EEs from last year... Daffodil, Poppy, and Magnolia.... they aren’t as pretty as they should be.. they pluck each other’s beards and muffs off :rant

It's nice they have a side to go to. Mine are scattered everywhere and the littles are getting beat up as they try to find their own space on the bar. 😲
Here is what I was talking about.. they start out on the floor and I go in at night and place them on the roost.. and then.. like I said, they move in with the bigs eventually... see the doorway that connects? But there is also doors for each section to the run so when they are coming and going there is no contact with each group which keeps the littles safe...

What a great design! So much better than mine. I never considered proper integration when I designed my coop. I can't even effectively split the coop now based on what I did. Unfortunately I forgot that the flock expands from time to time. 😥 :he
