My mother was the oldest girl of 11 ~ not all survived; my father was the youngest of 5. Some people have always had small families, others largish ones.

My mum was the oldest girl of 8, with one brother older.

Eleven kids. Eleven. Eleven.

I honestly didn't realise people were having such large families these days.

My cousin has three kids and we all thought that was a bit much. So did he!

I also have two really close friends that have eleven... must be the lucky number ... there are a few other families in our church that have seven or more... one of them has seven girls...
There are also the two families that got famous out here and are on reality TV for having 19 kids each!! Lots of people here have large families...

19! honestly, I'd struggle to keep the names straight, much less provide all the tlc (and food and clothes) and keep my inner calm. I salute anyone who has the emotional athleticism to pull that off.

My grandmother couldn't. She spent every day emotionally disconnected from her 8 kids. She used emotional blackmail to bring them up and several of them grew up to have low levels of well-being.

I am an only child of only children. Even my parents' parents only had 1-2 siblings each.
No wonder I am an introvert! I literally cannot imagine a family with 11 kids.

Guess who attacked me today .... that was my reaction! He came up behind me and attacked my leg! I was shocked.. then I went after him... I had to keep eye contact.... we’ll see how this plays out!
Good thing he doesn’t have spurs yet
